Could Cristiano Ronaldo light up the Champions League one more time and claim that sixth crown?

UEFA is allegedly thinking about inviting Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr team to the next Champions League.

According to various reports, Al Nassr rank among the three most famous clubs in the world. This has prompted UEFA to consider an invitation to compete in the 2024/25 Champions League.

If this rumor proves to be true, it might mean Ronaldo could return to the Champions League. The striker is the tournament’s all-time top scorer with 140 goals and a five-time winner. He last played in March 2022 for Manchester United.

This comes as UEFA prepares to introduce 36 teams in the group phase of the 2024/25 Champions League.

It should be noted, though, that Aleksander Ceferin played down the prospect of Saudi Arabian teams joining European club competitions earlier this year.

“I can say that only European clubs are allowed to participate in the Champions League, Europa League, or Europa Conference League,” the UEFA president said.

He also dismissed the prospect of the United States hosting a Champions League final.
