The transfer info wizard confirmed it once again, Manchester United just allowed AC Milan to take one of their young defenders.

Manchester United had been deep in negotiations with AC Milan for one of their youngest defenders. Portuguese full-back, Diogo Dalot is a done deal and he will travel to Milano in the coming hours. The player will arrive with the Rossoneri to fill the right-back position and accompany a well-structured squad. Stefano Pioli’s squad gets an upgrade on that position that effectively makes his side one of the title contenders.

Alongside Juventus, Napoli, Roma, and Inter; AC Milan becomes one of the strongest sides in Italy in the middle of a busy transfer window. Diogo Dalot wasn’t having so many minutes under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer due to his lack of experience. The Red Devils had been looking to get him a proper place where he could develop and eventually return to Manchester. Milano is the place where the Portuguese star will get to face Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus and the rest of the Serie A clubs.

Details of Dalot’s deal at AC Milan.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the young defender arrives at United on a one-year loan with no buying option. The Red Devils requested €30 million from the Rossoneri next year but Milan refused to pay. In the end, they agreed on a simple loan because AS Roma was pushing to sign the Portuguese player as well.

Dalot is set to arrive in Milano by Saturday and start training with the squad after his coronavirus tests come out negative. There is still official confirmation pending but this seems like a done deal. Diogo Dalot will play next to Zlatan Ibrahimovic again after sharing the dressing room when Ibra played for United.
