The Red Devils hope to continue their newly-found form under Erik ten Hag.

Christian Eriksen has urged Manchester United to push for trophies in the second half of the season.

Eriksen scored for the Red Devils when they reached the EFL Cup quarter-finals with a 2-0 win over Burnley on Wednesday.

The Red Devils are also competing in the Europa League, where they will face Barcelona next month.

As Man Utd continue their improved form under Erik ten Hag, Eriksen believes his side must keep their trophy ambitions alive.

“It’s been a few years since winning a trophy the last time,” the Man Utd midfielder told talkSPORT

“From where the club were to where we are now, the aim is to focus on every competition and see where we are in the end.

“It hasn’t specifically been said that we have to win this or win that – all of the players just want to win as much as possible.

“But to get there we first need to prove that we deserve to be there. It’s about every tournament. Like you saw against Burnley, even the [EFL Cup] is important for us.”

Man Utd will return to the Premier League with a match against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday. Eriksen and co will then take on Wolves four days later.
