Man Utd returned to competitive action with a victory as Marcus Rashford scored again.

Manchester United defeated Burnley 2-0 in their EFL Cup match on Wednesday. A dominant display from the Red Devils ensured their place in the tournament’s quarter-finals.

An easy win!

Man United struggled to find their rhythm early on, while Burnely quickly retreated to their own half.

However, the Red Devil gradually established their domination in midfield, creating chances down both flanks.

Following a brilliant cutback from Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Christian Eriksen opened the scoring for the Red Devils in the 27th minute. The Red Devils found a few more chances to double their lead before half-time but had no luck in converting them.

Burnley tried to bounce back at the beginning of the second period. But their efforts only created more space for United’s attacking moves.

A fantastic solo move from Marcus Rashford saw him carry the ball from the halfway line all the way into the box before slotting a powerful shot into the far corner of the net.

The goal secured Man Utd’s victory as Burnely showed little enthusiasm to turn the game around in the final 20 minutes.
