Chelsea vs Arsenal: Confirmed lineups as Havertz starts London derby on bench

The Blues will battle it out with Arsenal in a crunch Premier League battle tonight.

Chelsea and Arsenal have released their official lineups for their upcoming league game.

Thomas Tuchel has decided to make four changes to Chelsea’s lineup following their win over Crystal Palace in the FA Cup.

Malang Sarr starts in the Blues’ backline ahead of Reece James while N’Golo Kante returns to Chelsea’s midfield and replaces Jorginho. Another midfield change is the presence of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who takes Matteo Kovacic’s place in the lineup.

Romelu Lukaku will start as Chelsea’s target striker as Tuchel hopes to surprise Arsenal by benching in-form Kai Havertz.

Here are the two teams’ starting lineups for the game.

Chelsea XI: Mendy; James, Christensen, Sarr; Azpilicueta, Loftus-Cheek, Kante, Alonso; Mount; Lukaku, Werner.

Arsenal XI: Ramsdale; White, Gabriel, Holding, Tavares; Elneny, Xhaka; Saka, Odegaard, Smith Rowe; Nketiah.

Arsenal start the game with three changes compared to the lineup that lost 1-0 against Southampton on Saturday.

Rob Holding start ahead of Gabriel Magalhaes in the Gunners’ backline while Mohamed Elneny replaces Alberts Sambi Lokonga in midfield. Upfront, Emil Smith-Rowe returns to Arsenal’s lineup as Arteta decides to bench Gabriel Martinelli against the Blues.
