The Portuguese superstar is without a club after leaving Man Utd last month.

William Gallas believes Chelsea must use their “good opportunity” to sign Cristiano Ronaldo this winter.

Manchester United terminated Ronaldo’s contract after his explosive interview with Piers Morgan last month.

Going into the World Cup, CR7 was without a club. But he will now have to decide on his future ahead of the next transfer window.

Gallas believes the 37-year-old is a perfect solution for Chelsea’s goalscoring problems under Graham Potter.

“What I know is Todd Boehly wanted Cristiano Ronaldo in his squad when Thomas Tuchel did not,” the former Chelsea star said.

“Maybe it’s a good opportunity for six months to bring Ronaldo to Chelsea. But as he said, if he wins a World Cup, he’ll retire!

“It would be good for Ronaldo to go to Chelsea so he can still play in the Champions League and it can benefit Chelsea too because they need a striker.”

Ronaldo is yet to decide on his next transfer after rejecting a mega-offer from Al-Nassr earlier this month. Having earned £ 500,000 a week at Man Utd, he will have to reduce his salary significantly if he aims to remain in the Premier League.
