The German boss has taken charge at Allianz Arena after a shock mid-season move.
Mason Mount is reportedly keen to join Bayern Munich and reunite with Thomas Tuchel.
The England international will enter the final 12 months of his contract at the end of the season. Stalled contract negotiations with the Blues have generated speculations about his possible departure in the summer.
Earlier this month, reports emerged of Manchester United’s interest in signing Mount. But it seems the Red Devils could have serious competitors in the race to sign the 24-year-old.
According to the Guardian, Mount is eager to work under Tuchel again.
The England international reached his peak form under Tuchel, becoming Chelsea’s top-scorer last season. The idea of moving to Bayern is appealing to Mount as the competition grows in Chelsea’s attacking line.
Bayern made a quick move to appoint Tuchel after their surprise sacking of Julian Nagelsmann last week. The new manager, however, is yet to discuss transfer plans with the Bavarians.
Signing Mount could become an option for Bayern if their under-fire forwards fail to get back on track under Tuchel.
The likes of Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane are not playing in the same position as Mount. However, their possible departures could open up space for more attacking reinforcement at Allianz Arena.
