The Argentine midfielder is yet to find his rythm at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea defender Thiago Silva expressed his anger over teammate Enzo Fernandez’s criticism following the Blues’ 1-0 defeat against Dortmund in the Champions League. The game’s only goal was scored by Karim Adeyemi, who left Fernandez behind to net it.

After the game, TNT Sport posted a picture of Fernandez on Instagram with the caption “Call the Uber! Enzo Fernandez is looking for Adeyemi.”

The post drew a heated response from Silva, who wrote: “Lack of f*cking respect, huh!!! Be more serious with your work.”

Fernandez joined Chelsea during the January transfer window for a massive £106.8 million. However, the team has struggled domestically and in Europe. In 2023, the team only won once in all competitions.

Chelsea has a massive task ahead against Dortmund in the second leg on March 7th at Stamford Bridge. In the meantime, Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi scored in his last three appearances in all competitions, bringing his tally to three goals compared to his previous twenty competitive matches where he only scored two.

The Blues will face Southampton on Saturday at Stamford Bridge in their next Premier League game. Silva’s reaction was likely due to the intense pressure Chelsea is currently under, having invested heavily in players in January but failing to achieve results. Criticism from the media only adds to the stress of the situation.
