The Blues have added another forward to their ranks despite the arrival of Mykhailo Mudryk.
Chelsea have reportedly completed a move for PSV Eindhoven’s Noni Madueke.
Madueke becomes Chelsea’s sixth signing this winter as they continue reinforcing their squad for the second half of the season.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues will pay €35m to secure Madueke’s move from PSV.
The Blues completed a big-money move for Mykhailo Mudryk last week. But the Ukrainian’s transfer didn’t convince Chelsea’s board to abandon their plans for Madueke.
Having signed 14 players since the past summer, Chelsea now have 35 players in their squad. Graham Potter’s bloated side are also dealing with an untimely injury crisis that has sidelined ten players.
Madueke’s move will increase the competition in the Blues’ forward line. David Datro Fofana, Joao Felix and Mudryk have also arrived this winter to help with Chelsea’s goalscoring issues.
On the other hand, Hakim Ziyech seems convinced to end his spell at Chelsea. The former Ajax star has emerged as a top target for Newcastle this January.
Having slipped to the tenth spot on the table, Potter’s men hope to build on their narrow win over Crystal Palace when they take on Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.
