Stamford Bridge was the place where Chelsea got a visit from Everton in tonight’s Premier League crunch match. We got tonight’s player ratings.

Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea faced Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League’s Monday Night Football. The Blues are currently going through a fantastic moment under new management and today was a perfect way to test their solidity. With Carlo Ancelotti’s Toffees, you already know what you get in terms of a challenge. The Italian manager has been sharp this season against Bix Six clubs but Chelsea proved they are on a different level.

Tuchel is slowly recovering the players Frank Lampard lost from the moment he arrived to coach the squad. Kai Havertz finally responded to the gaffer’s trust by forcing the opening goal after pushing Godfrey during a cross. Although it was considered an own goal for Everton, most of the credit goes to the German playmaker. After this, the Blues’ boss protected the result with little opposition.

Jorginho seals the win from the spot.

After the break, Thomas Tuchel still ordered his players to go after more goals against a well-organized squad. Regardless of the complicated set-up Ancelotti placed in the back, Chelsea could force their way through it with no problems. Kai Havertz nearly scored a brace but he used his arm right before sending the ball to the back of the net. VAR helped the referee and they quickly disallowed the goal.

After that, Jorginho scored the second goal for Chelsea after a penalty was called in their favor thanks to Havertz. With this final result, the Blues reach 50 points and remain in the fourth position. Another victory for Thomas Tuchel that only proves he is enjoying his new job in London. Next up, we have the Blues facing Leeds next weekend before their crucial game against Atletico Madrid.
