The Blues are scanning the market for a new striker ahead of the next season.
Chelsea are reportedly considering a summer move for Richarlison amid their plans to find a replacement for Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgian striker struggled to adapt to Thomas Tuchel’s tactics upon his return to Stamford Bridge last season. He is now on the verge of moving back to Inter, leaving a significant gap in Chelsea’s squad.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Chelsea have decided to replace Lukaku with Everton’s Richarlison.
The Brazilian has reportedly asked the Toffees to let him leave the club this summer. However, the Blues might face competition from Premier League rivals for Richarlison’s signature.
Arsenal and Tottenham have already shown interest in signing the striker, with Everton’s asking price being around €60m.
In case the Gunners fail to sign Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City, a bidding war between the London clubs can increase Everton’s demanded fee even higher.
Speaking about his future earlier this month, Richarlison refused to rule out a summer move away from Goodison Park.
“I’ve already made it clear to the board. I’ve already talked to Frank Lampard too, with my agents and they know what I want. Let’s wait for June,” Richarlison said.
“Now I can’t talk. Because when we talk about leaving a club I’m kind of like this, because of the history I have at Everton, the affection that the fans have for me. When we talk about leaving I’m a little speechless.”
