Chelsea got back to winning ways in the Premier League as they clinched a vital victory against Spurs.

Chelsea defeated Tottenham 2-0 in their Premier League game on Sunday. The Blues ended their run of four winless games as Antonio Conte suffered his first league defeat since taking over Spurs.

Another day, another Ziyech stunner!

Chelsea started the game by quickly gaining possession as they looked for an early opener. The Blues forwards came close to scoring several times in the first 20 minutes. However, they could not get the opening goal until after the interval.

Following an assist from Hudson-Odoi, Hakim Ziyech curled a stunning effort past Hugo Lloris from the edge of the box. The goal came only two minutes into the second half, paving the way for Chelsea to continue their dominance.

Only eight minutes later, Thomas Tuchel’s side doubled their lead. A sublime cross from Mason Mount found Thiago Silva, who glanced his header away from Lloris into the bottom-right corner.

Tottenham intensified their attacks to get back into the game after conceding the second goal. However, they could not get past Chelsea’s solid defence as Tuchel’s men managed to hold on to their clean sheet.

Both sides will return to FA Cup action on February 5. Chelsea will host League One outfit Plymouth Argyle while Tottenham meet Brighton.
