This week could not get any better as the Champions League group stage draws are finally out! And today, no one would have imagined that there is another possibility that Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will share the field again.
The season has started with some unbelievable transfers that we have seen so far. And now, the Champions League draw has produced some mouth-watering group stage fixtures. Paris Saint-Germain will take on Manchester City in what is going to be one of the biggest ties of all time.
What this means is Messi, who recently moved to Paris will potentially play his all-time-on-field rival Ronaldo, if the Juventus star shifts to England. With the ongoing Cristiano Ronaldo transfer saga, this season has become even more appealing for football supporters.
Before arriving at PSG, Messi was constantly linked to Man City. Whether or not the Argentine plays the Portuguese star, he will most certainly face his former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola once again.
At the moment, Ronaldo will be a headache for Chelsea having drawn in Group H with Juventus. However, it would be a fantasy to see two footballing monsters unite in an appetizing match and probably the most awaited once more.
Anyhow, apart from this significant happening, the Champions League group stage draw has brought some earthshakers for us. Barcelona will face Bayern Munich, Inter Milan will battle against Real Madrid, and Manchester United will have a chance to get revenge from Villareal.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have a complex path ahead of them with Atletico Madrid, Porto, and AC Milan in Group B. Also, Borussia Dortmund will face the aspiring Ajax along with Sporting, and Besiktas in Group C.
