The hosts tried to defend their way to victory, but Fabinho’s goal just after the hour-mark ruined their plans. Only five minutes later, Luis Diaz made it 2-2 for Liverpool, with Sadio Mane’s goal completing the Reds’ incredible comeback later on.

A 5-2 win on aggregate sent Liverpool to the Paris Final. After the game, Salah expressed his desire to face Real Madrid in the final, a wish that was fulfilled in the most spectacular way on Wednesday. 

Real Madrid pull off another epic comeback to beat City

An entertaining battle saw Manchester City defeat Real Madrid 4-3 in the first leg. The Citizens continued to dominate the game at Santiago Bernabeu, with Riyad Mahrez breaking the deadlock in the 73rd minute.

Man City were two goals ahead, with Real Madrid struggling to increase the pressure on the guests’ backline. However, a magical brace by Rodrygo got Real Madrid back into the game at the dying minutes.

The Brazilian super-sub converted Karim Benzema’s cutback in the 90th minute before scoring the aggregate equalizer with a brilliant header.

Real Madrid continued their attacks as soon as the extra-time started and soon found the match-winner through Karim Benzema’s spot-kick.

The Blancos reached the Champions League final in an incredible week that also saw them lift the La Liga trophy. Let’s see if Carlo Ancelotti can lead the Spanish giants to their 14th UCL title against Liverpool.
