In a very difficult first half, Barcelona got Lenglet sent-off for using his elbow against a striker before half-time.
This gave everybody the impression that the Blaugrana would struggle to get a victory with 10 players on the pitch. But Messi played his part during the second half by provoking Celta’s own goal and setting Sergi Roberto up for the third. The Argentine cleared every doubt of his commitment to the club with this performance. He also closes a dark chapter in his personal history with an institution he adores above almost anything else.
