The full-back has built one of the most decorated CVs in world football in his nine years in the Spanish capital.

Dani Carvajal has picked out winning ‘La Decima’ – the club’s 10th Champions League title – as the best moment of his Real Madrid career so far.

A product of the club’s famed youth academy La Fabrica, Carvajal has been associated with Real Madrid since he was merely 10 years old.

However, it was not until he broke that association in 2012 that Los Blancos realized his worth as they activated the buy-back option on his Bayer Leverkusen contract to bring him back to the club following his outstanding performances in Germany.

The Spaniard has since been an integral part of the La Liga giants’ squad and has been crucial to their domestic and continental successes over the last few years.

A winner of multiple Champions League, La Liga, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and Supercopa de Espana titles, he is one of the most decorated players at present in world football.

“There’s so many,” replied Caravajal when asked to chose the best moment of his Real Madrid career so far during an interview with the club’s website.

“It’d be difficult to choose just one, but I’d have to say that for everyone who has experienced this glorious period, La Decima was the catalyst for everything, even though it was the second title we won that year after the Copa del Rey against Barcelona.

La Decima represents a little bit of everything, the journey of a successful group, of belief and passion.”
