The Italian is certain the 2022 Ballon d’Or award is already within Benzema’s grasp.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has no doubt that Karim Benzema deserves to win the Ballon d’Or.
The Frenchman scored the second goal in Wednesday’s 2-0 UEFA Super Cup win over Eintracht Frankfurt – after David Alaba’s first-half opener – to seal Real Madrid another trophy.
Benzema also surpassed the legendary Raul Gonzalez as the club’s second highest scorer in history with 324 goals. Only Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 450 times for Madrid, is ahead of him now.

“[Benzema] is a leader,” Ancelotti told Movistar.
“If we’re here, it’s partly because of him. He scored a lot of goals. Now for the Ballon d’Or… Are there any doubts? I don’t think anyone has doubts about that.”
In his post-match press conference, the manager added: “For us he’s the most important player, he’s the most efficient player in the world at this moment. He was important to win the Champions League. He didn’t score in the final but with his goals, we played the final.
“He scored against [Manchester] City, against Chelsea, against Paris [Saint-Germain]. He’s so important for us, there’s no doubt that at this moment he’s the best.”
Benzema managed 44 goals and 15 assists in 46 appearances across all competitions last season to fire Real Madrid to La Liga and Champions League success.
