Arsenal have enjoyed a recent run of good form and much of that has come after a number of impressive performances from Emile Smith Rowe.
Alan Shearer has heaped praise on Arsenal youngster Emile Smith Rowe after yet another brilliant outing for the Gunners.
The 20-year-old has enjoyed a run in the club’s starting XI and has repaid the faith in him with a good number of goal contributions.
Smith Rowe scored a crucial goal against Newcastle in the FA Cup earlier this year. He put in another brilliant shift against the Magpies in the Gunners’ 3-0 victory on Monday.
A recurring theme of Arsenal’s struggles earlier in the season was the lack of a creative spark and Arteta could yet have an answer to that.
With Mesut Ozil off to Fenerbahce, there is room for a player to fill that attacking void and Smith Rowe is already making a claim to take over in that department.
Alan Shearer is impressed with what he has seen from the youngster so far and hailed the player’s impact in the club’s lineup.
“This guy [Smith Rowe] is a breath of fresh air. His attitude. The way he approaches the game. The way he wants to work. His ability with and without the ball” Shearer told Premier League productions.
“So, I think it’s been a huge step forward for not only him. But it’s no coincidence that Arsenal’s form is where it is when he has been in the team.”
In fact, Arsenal have been urged to give Smith Rowe more chances in midfield in a bid to keep him from seeking a move elsewhere.
