BREAKING: We will get another Ronaldo vs Messi confrontation

We will get to experience a new edition of the Ronaldo vs Messi rivalry in the UEFA Champions League’s group stage this season.

We were starting to think that we weren’t going to experience the Ronaldo vs Messi rivalry ever again. The UEFA Champions League draw is always filled with pleasant surprises and today was no exception. We got the most incredible surprise of them all. For nearly a decade, we experienced several games between Messi and Ronaldo during the Spanish El Clasico.

But the biggest competition of them all, only gave us a handful of those confrontations. The first time these two faced was way back in the 2007/08 season, when Ronaldo won the Champions League with Manchester United. After that, Messi won the 2009 final against his Red Devils in Rome.

By the time we got to experience Cristiano in the Spanish La Liga, they only faced twice in the same semifinal during the 2010/11 season. It was a controversial game that Messi dominated over Ronaldo. But now, we get to see the Portuguese forward with a new club and facing the same Barcelona squad led by the Argentine.

Juventus vs Barcelona in Group G

Destiny always wanted us to get another rivalry between these two at the biggest stage possible. But the surprise was even better because we are getting two games during the group stage of the competition. Next to Dynamo Kyiv and Ferencvaros, Messi and Ronaldo will play at Camp Nou and Allianz Arena.

We have no idea what’s in store for us after that, but we can tell you that the world is happy we are getting more of this legendary rivalry. Any form we can get of Leo vs Cristiano is great, whether it’s with their clubs or their national teams.

It really doesn’t matter as long as we still get to enjoy their rivalry. There’s no way of telling who will be the favorite to win both matches but their clubs are certainly favorite to get past the group stage. Are you ready for this?
