FIFA has announced the 11 players who deserved a spot at FIFPro Men’s World Eleven of 2020 in a virtual ceremony in Zurich.

The reveal was made a week after FIFA released the 55-player shortlist for the best team of the year. 2020’s dream squad naturally includes three Liverpool players and four Bayern Munich appearances. There were some surprises in the selected team, like Allison Becker’s nomination ahead of Manuel Neuer. The German goalkeeper has just been awarded the Goalkeeper of the Year prize. Sergio Ramos spoke on behalf of all of the honored footballers.

“I want to congratulate my fellow awarded players. How can I not be honored to be alongside them?” said Real Madrid’s captain.

Ramos explained how he stays at top-level after all these years. “One of the keys to maintaining ambition is the hunger to win. I’ve won a lot in my career but I keep the desire to improve,” he said.

“I like to dream, set new goals. That’s how I keep adding to my trophy case and improve as a player. I would like to dedicate this award to the victims of Coronavirus and their families.”

Additionally, the team also includes all of the nominees for The Best Men’s Player of the Year: Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Robert Lewandowski.
