BREAKING: FC Barcelona forward has a torn knee ligament

In some unexpected news coming from FC Barcelona, one of the Catalan club’s forwards has a torn knee ligament after some tests. 

Bar news for FC Barcelona, one of their most important forwards underwent some tests and they confirmed he has a torn knee ligament. We are talking about Ansu Fati, the teenage sensation who just turned 18 years of age. As he started the game against Real Betis, it was quickly evident that he wasn’t performing at his best this evening.

Many wondered what the problem was after they noticed he didn’t even come out to the bench during the second half. Ronald Koeman confirmed that he was feeling pain during the break, which was the reason Messi took his place in the second half. 

Koeman told Sport what happened during the break: “Ansu Fati was feeling some pain during the break and we didn’t want to risk him. That’s why we decided to take him out for the second half.”

A torn knee ligament. 

After the first half, the FC Barcelona doctors decided to stay with Ansu Fati inside the dressing room in order to take a look at his pain. They didn’t expect to find anything serious but they were surprised by the results. After the proper tests were conducted, they realized the youngster had a more serious issue in one of his knees.

The club immediately communicated the news to the world. As many feared, Fati has a ligament knee injury. No report on the extent of his problem was delivered, they only said what the problem was. 

“Tests carried out this afternoon have shown that Ansu Fati has an internal meniscus tear in his left knee. The treatment to be followed will be determined in the coming days,” wrote FC Barcelona on its official Twitter account.
