As he goes through a spectacular season at AC Milan, Brahim Diaz opened up about a possible return to Real Madrid in the near future.

Brahim Diaz is turning into one of Spain’s most important offensive players this season but a return to Real Madrid seems further than ever. He already played one season for the Rossoneri but it took him a short while to adapt. As soon as his loan ended in Italy, AC Milan decided to ask for a new loan for two more seasons. They truly trust in Brahim’s skills and the youngster is responding spectacularly.

So far this season, Brahim is arguably the best offensive midfielder in Italian football. Even without Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Rossoneri are playing some of the best football in the country. Amid his dramatic improvement, there are constant questions about the young star’s possible return to Los Blancos. As soon as he ends his loan, Brahim can choose to come back to Spain. However, AC Milan can still make Real Madrid an offer to buy the Spaniard after the loan is over.

Does Brahim want to return to Real Madrid?

In previous months, Brahim Diaz told the press that he wanted to return to Real Madrid. But according to a recent interview on Radio Marca, something changed: “I’m focused on Milan, which are a big club and there’s not much more to say. I wish [Real Madrid] all the best but I’m here now. Zidane is a legend as a player and as coach he’s been very good too. The affection is mutual, we get on very well and I know he likes my game. I worked hard for those minutes, I was very happy with him and he with me too.

“We’ve started very well and the Scudetto is a target because we are Milan. The first time I went into the [Milan] dressing room, the first player I met was Ibra. Everyone knows what he’s like but he’s incredible in the way he helps all his teammates and demands the best. He’s a leader on and off the pitch and I get on very well with him. He loves football and he demands more from me because he says I’ve got talent. He can still make the difference and what can you say about a player like Ibrahimovic?”
