Every few years, the German club has to get rid of their best players who grew up to become world-beaters at their institution. We are obviously talking about Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland. It’s time to talk about the state of their contracts and which football clubs will likely make bids for them. In both cases, the offers that come will be very difficult to reject and both youngsters will likely leave.
Jadon Sancho seems Manchester United bound. With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer completely sold on the idea that he is the ideal player to become the new star at the club. Despite possibly having a couple of other offers, Sancho’s plan is to return to the Premier League and United is the most obvious destination. In his case, two years were more than enough for him to evolve into the player he is today.
Haaland could leave this summer as well.
Despite playing his second season with Borussia Dortmund, Erling Haaland’s time at Borussia Dortmund might be short-lived. The reason for this is the player’s accelerated progression and how many clubs are after him. As far as we know, clubs like Real Madrid or FC Barcelona are trying to sign him during the summer. It’s still unclear what Erling Haaland wants to do after this season is over.
However, Dortmund won’t be able to keep him for much longer if a crazy offer comes knocking on their door. Should these two stars leave the German club, it won’t be a tragedy because they already have their replacements waiting to take their spot in the squad. Giovanni Reyna and Youssoufa Moukoko are the next generation at Borussia Dortmund.
