The Real Madrid midfielder is ready to start a new chapter in his career.

Jude Bellingham is “itching” to get back to playing despite the pressure from his €103m transfer to Real Madrid.

The England international emerged as a transfer target for almost every elite European side after his wonderful spell at Borussia Dortmund. But Real Madrid managed to add him to their already star-studded midfield line ahead of the next season.

The last time Real Madrid completed such a big-money move was in 2019 when they recruited Eden Hazard from Chelsea. The Belgian star’s disappointing spell at Santiago Bernabeu has doubled the pressure on Bellingham, who is excited to start his career in Spanish football.

“I’m buzzing, it’s like a dream move for me,” Bellingham told Sky Sports of his transfer to Real Madrid.

“I’ve done all the media things and now it’s just about getting ready and start playing. I am just so happy to be at the club. I’m itching to get back and start playing.”

Asked about the pressure of becoming one of Real Madrid’s most expensive signings in history, Bellingham replied: “I have had pressure at every step. I expect it. I have to overcome that pressure.”

Bellingham could make his unofficial Real Madrid debut when the Blancos take on AC Milan in a pre-season match on July 23. Carlo Ancelotti’s side will then face Manchester United four days later.
