Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly interested in a summer move for Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac.

Bayer Leverkusen are the latest side to show interest in Sead Kolasinac.

The Bosnian defender initially established himself as a regular for the Gunners after joining from Schalke in 2017.

However, it appears Kolasinac has fallen down the pecking order under Mikel Arteta.

The 27-year-old was an unused substitute in Arsenal’s 3-0 opening day victory over Fulham last weekend.

Kieran Tierney was preferred in left-back and Ainsley Maitland-Niles filled in the left-wing back role.

Earlier this summer, former side Schalke made an approach to re-sign Kolasinac but might not have the finances to do so.

Much recently, reports claimed Mikel Arteta personally spoke to the defender to convince him to stay at the Emirates.

But a report from Sky Sports claims Kolasinac could consider an exit for family reasons with Leverkusen strongly interested.

With Bukayo Saka also able to play as a wing-back, Arsenal appear to be comfortable cashing in on the 27-year-old who has now entered the final two years of his contract.

Asides that, Kolasinac could also bring some real value from sales that the Gunners can use to complete other signings elsewhere.
