Barcelona start the post-Koeman era with a disappointing draw at Camp Nou.
Barcelona were held to a 1-1 draw in their first match since the sacking of Ronald Koeman.
The Catalans played under the stewardship of interim coach Sergi Barjuan. However, they didn’t show much improvement compared to their recent performances under Koeman.
Different coach, same Barca
Memphis Depay opened the scoring for the Catalans in the 49th minute. However, Barca were not happy for too long as they conceded the equalizer three minutes later.
Barjuan’s side tried to get the match-winner throughout the second half, but they couldn’t get past Alaves’ solid backline.
Barcelona are hoping to revive their form upon the arrival of the new coach as they sit ninth in La Liga.
