Gareth Bale returns to Real Madrid after Wales’ duty and will sit down with Zinedine Zidane after postponed meetings.

Real Madrid signed Gareth Bale amidst much fan fare. While he has not hit the dizzying heights Cristiano Ronaldo set before and alongside him, he did manage to score important goals in cup finals.

Bale has etched his name into Real Madrid folklore. However, Zinedine Zidane does not favor him much and wants him out of the dressing room. The frenchman informed him of his decision last year only for Los Blancos to renege on the coach’s wishes.

The attacker has two-years left on his contract and wants to see it out on the bench. He stands to earn 70 million Euros in this time period. It is understandable he will bear it out after the treatment he has received at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Ahead of the new La Liga season, Marca has reported that Bale will have a meeting with Zidane. The meeting has been postponed several times and will finally take place on Septmeber 9.

It is assumed that Zidane will again tell Bale that he is not wanted at the club. However, with no interested parties knocking on Real Madrid’s doors, it looks unlikely that the Welshman will leave.

Bale’s former manager, Harry Redknapp believes the winger will make Tottenham title challengers. However, it looks unlikely that Spurs will splurge on the 31-year-old.
