The Ivory Coast international has offered to help his compatriot settle at Old Trafford after he completed a €40 million transfer on Thursday.

Eric Bailly is confident that Amad Diallo can have a big future at Manchester United but has urged the supporters to “keep calm” with the new arrival.

The Red Devils wrapped up a £37 million deal with add-ons for Diallo on the final day of the summer transfer window but left him at Atalanta.

After four months, the Ivorian winger finally joined Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad signing a contract to the end of June 2025 with the option of an extra year.

Despite his tender age and despite having a meagre 24 minutes of first-team league experience under his belt, the 18-year-old is considered a first-team signing and is expected to boost the United’s attacking options.

“He’s a young player with good talents but we know it is important to keep calm with any new guys,” Bailly told the club’s official website.” I think he will do well but it important to keep calm with him.

“I am ready to help him. I’m ready to help every player. That, for me, is very important.

“He’s a top man. I speak with him and speak with the family. Now the guy is very happy to sign for Manchester United. Everybody waits for him and that’s it.”
