Arsenal captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was pleased with himself as the Gunners added Community Shield to their ranks

Arsenal built on their FA Cup triumph against Chelsea with the acquisition of the Comunity Shield. They defeated Liverpool in a penalty shootout after the scores were level in regular time.

The victory over Liverpool makes it three wins in cup competitions against Premier League’s top-four sides.

Piere-Emerick Aubameyang got on the scoresheet in the final, his scorcher from outside the area better than his strikes against Chelsea. The 31-year-old forward was in a joyful mood after the win and hailed Emirates Stadium as the place to be.

“We are improving and there’s still work to do but it’s a really happy and exciting time to be an Arsenal player,” Goal quoted Aubameyang.

Aubameynag was coy about his long term stay in North London. The Gabon international did not want to talk on the topic and shared that it is the time to celebrate right now.

However, he did add that further details about his contract will be revealed in the coming days.

“Yeah, I know. We’re going to see in these [coming] days. Today we take the trophy.”

Aubameyang paid tribute to Chadwick Boseman during his celebrations. He made the Wakanda Salute after his 12th-minute strike.
