Reports have emerged of Atletico’s interest in giving the Frenchman a permanent deal.
Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has insisted his side are not in negotiations with Barcelona over Antoine Griezmann’s situation.
The World Cup winner rejoined Atletico on a loan deal last year, leaving Barca after two forgettable campaigns.
Atletico reportedly agreed to make Griezmann’s move permanent if he plays in over 50% of their total game time.
However, Diego Simeone has consistently subbed in the Frenchman after the hour-mark in their recent matches.
According to widespread reports in Spanish media, Barcelona are considering legal action against their La Liga counterparts.
In recent days, reports have emerged of possible negotiations between the two clubs over a permanent January mover. However, Cerezo says ‘nothing has changed’ regarding Griezmann’s situation.
“We haven’t met with Barcelona nor do we have news that we are going to meet,” Cerezo said (via Marca).
“The Griezmann issue is very clear, you already know it or you can imagine it. So until everything is resolved, if there is something to solve, we are at the same point.
“At the moment we are at the same point, nothing has changed with Barca on Griezmann. Right now there is nothing, it is the same as when we started the season.”
