Arturo Vidal has reportedly bid farewell to his Barcelona teammates and is expected in Milan today to complete his move to Inter.
Vidal has always struggled to hold down a spot in the Barcelona line-up following his surprise €18m arrival from Bayern Munich in 2018.
The 33-year-old midfielder had a respectable debut campaign in 2018/19 for the Blaugrana, but signs of frustration emerged the last term. He even fumed over not feeling important any longer amid a lack of starting opportunities.
Talk of a return to the Serie A, therefore, has been on the agenda for quite some time, with Inter Milan favorites to sign the former Juventus star.
Nerazzurri boss Antonio Conte, who coached Vidal at Juventus, is keen for a reunion and hopes to conclude a deal within the next 48 hours according to RAC1.
The Catalan radio station claimed that Barcelona and Inter agreed on a fee of just €500,000 plus bonuses for the Chilean, who has a verbal agreement with the Italian side for a one-year deal worth €3m with an option for another included.
Now Marca has added that Vidal is no longer a Barcelona player and, therefore, didn’t attend training on Tuesday morning.
