Mikel Arteta remains fully committed to Arsenal but has refused to dismiss the idea of managing PSG someday.

Mikel Arteta has left the door open for a move to Paris Saint-Germain, but says he has much to achieve at Arsenal.

The Spaniard took charge of Arsenal last season and led the club to FA Cup glory in his first campaign at the club.

Things have not gone to plan this term, but he has no intention of walking away any time soon.

For some reason, players always have a certain attraction to their first club. It’s common to hear players say they want to retire at the maiden club where they made their professional debut.

Arteta might have grown through the ranks at the La Masia academy with Barcelona, but it was PSG who gave him a shot at first-team football in 2001 before he then completed a move to Rangers.

The Gunners boss still has a soft spot for the French giants and spoke on the possibility of managing them in the future.

“I love Paris, I love Paris,” Arteta told BeIN Sports.” I have very good memories from over there. It was my first club as a professional. The club is always in my heart.

“You never know but I have a lot of work to do [here at Arsenal].”

Should Arteta decide to leave Arsenal at some point, he might have a number of suitors lying in wait. Alongside PSG, recent reports claimed Joan Laporta has considered the prospect of turning to the Gunners manager if Barca decide to part ways with Ronald Koeman.
