After finally getting a victory against Chelsea, Mikel Arteta opened up about the massive guilt he felt during one of Arsenal’s worst runs in history.

Mikel Arteta truly suffered during Arsenal’s most recent negative run in the Premier League. They finally got around to winning a game after several draws and defeats, which could finally make the gaffer breathe a little. An important 3-1 victory against Chelsea is exactly what the Gunners needed in order to get some room. Their manager was one of the most criticized coaches in English football today but this victory gave him a new perspective.

In fact, Arteta learned how to value moments like this and he reflected on them. The pressure of being Arsenal’s manager can finally remain as a main characteristic inside Arteta’s head. But he knows very well that the Gunners need to confirm their return on the next match. The Gunners are gearing up to play at Brighton on Tuesday for the last match of 2020. Arteta wanted to reflect on the recent win and speak about the difficulties his side is still facing.

Arteta’s struggles during this challenging time.

As per Goal, Arteta said the following: “Since I arrived here, first of all I had to analyze really well what was happening, what we can and cannot do. Obviously, results-wise, in the last few weeks we have all been suffering, I have been suffering. I feel very responsible for that. The worst feeling is because I want to do so well for this football club and at the moment we are in, I want to bring all my passion, the knowledge that I have, the right intentions to move as quickly as we possibly can as a football club.

“In order to do that we need to win football matches, to be stable and win some time. When I don’t, I feel like I am letting the club down and the people that work for us, and obviously our fans.”
