Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has provided an update on Bukayo Saka after the youngster was forced off through injury against Brighton.
Mikel Arteta is hopeful the injury suffered by Bukayo Saka is not all that serious.
The England international was the man of the match against the Seagulls on Tuesday night.
It follows a narrow 1-0 win at the Amex Stadium, courtesy of a goal from Alexandre Lacazette.
The Frenchman started the match on the bench but immediately scored after coming on to alleviate the pressure on Arteta.
However, there is some concern over Saka who followed up his stellar performance against Chelsea with yet another glistening display.
Arteta has quelled any fears over a long-term injury, though.
“He took a strong challenge, but hopefully he will be fine,” he said to the club’s website.
Arteta also spoke on how Saka has matured of late in the Arsenal lineup.
“Today he had a difficult game in the first half because we weren’t using certain moments to generate advantages for him and other attacking players in the right way, so the game became really difficult back to the goal against a back five in a really low block.”
“In the second half, the moment we started to play different was an attack in a different way where they found more space and capacity to unlock the situations and their block. We created four or five big chances and he was involved in most of the them.”
