Ace Football previews the Premier League match between Arsenal and Leeds United, and offers betting tips, odds, line-ups, and team news.

11th meets 10th as Arsenal and Leeds United lock horns on Sunday evening in a game that could go either way at the Emirates Stadium.

One point and one place are all that separate the two clubs in the Premier League table. Leeds, though, have a game in hand over their hosts and have been more impressive on the road than at home.

The Whites are one of those teams that can spring any kind of result in games – whether good or bad. Their unpredictability should add to the suspense against an Arsenal side that have been hot and cold all season.

Arsenal Form & Stats

The Gunners’ mini-resurgence is over. Back-to-back defeats to Wolves and Aston Villa have knocked them out of the top-10, meaning victory over Leeds on Sunday is a must. With the club’s FA Cup title defense already over, they’re at risk of failing to qualify for Europe next season.

The Villa defeat was a typical scenario. Arsenal had the lion’s share of possession but constantly fell short in the final third. Nicolas Pepe, Hector Bellerin, and Martin Odegaard all spurned potential chances. Therefore, Mikel Arteta’s men have now failed to score in three of their last five games in all competitions.

Their home form hasn’t been impressive either, having won and lost four times in 11 league games. They’ve also only been ahead at half-time once at the Emirates this season and struggled against Leeds’ high-pressing approach in the 0-0 draw in November; albeit with a disadvantage of only 10-men.

Key Team Stats
  • Lost their last 2 league games.
  • Unbeaten in their last 5 home games in all competitions (W3 D2).
  • Unbeaten in their last 8 games against Leeds in all competitions (W6 D2).
  • Won 23 of their last 27 home league games against promoted clubs (D4).
  • Aim to keep 5 consecutive clean sheets at home for the first time since managing 7 in a row between December 2013 and February 2014.
  • Bukayo Saka has created 26 chances in games and won 42 fouls – a club best.

Leeds United Form & Stats

A 2-0 win over Crystal Palace last weekend secured Leeds a 10th victory of the season and sent them up the Premier League table. It was also another example of their unpredictability, having lost the reverse fixture 4-1 in November.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have been in decent form recently, though. Three wins in their last four games (L1) have revived their top-10 challenge, and they’ll look to build on this in the trip to north London. And considering their away form, another three points at the Emirates cannot be ruled out.

Leeds, as mentioned previously, have performed better on the road this season. The Whites tend to perform strongest in the second-half, having only held a half-time lead twice, and have won six of their 11 away games (L5).

Key Team Stats
  • Won 3 of their last 4 league games (L1).
  • Aiming for a third away win in a row.
  • Scored and conceded 22 goals on the road this season.
  • Patrick Bamford has made 5 goal contributions in his last 3 league games (2 goals, 3 assists).
  • 8 of Patrick Bamford’s 12 Premier League goals have come away from home.
  • Marcelo Bielsa is winless and goalless in his two games against Arsenal (D1 L1).
