Arsenal and Leeds failed to score as both sides played out to a goalless draw at Elland Road on Sunday evening.

Arsenal saw Nicolas Pepe sent off as they had to hold off Leeds with ten men for more than half an hour.

The Ivorian was shown a red card in the 52nd minute after a needless head-butt on Leeds star Ezgjan Alioski.

Leeds were the much better side prior to the dismissal and continued to heap pressure on the Gunners defense but Bernd Leno proved to be difficult to get past. It was to be a lucky day for the Whites as they hit the goalpost on three occasions.

Arsenal remained a threat on the break and came close to scoring after Bukayo Saka went clear on goal in the latter stages of the game. In the end, he was denied by Illan Meslier in the Leeds goal. The goalless draw means Arsenal have gone close to eight hours without a goal from open play in the Premier League as per B/R Football.

The result also means both sides are with only a single win in their last five Premier League games.
