The Gunners recently secured the signing of Ben White, and they have been advised to go after another Brighton player.

Yves Bissouma would be the “ideal partner” for Thomas Partey in the Arsenal midfield, according to the club’s former striker Kevin Campbell.

Considered by many as one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League, Bissouma has been linked with a move away from Brighton in the summer market.

The Seagulls reportedly demand in the excess of £30 million for the Mali international, who has two years remaining on his contract.

Arsenal are working towards bolstering their squad following a disappointing 2020-21 season, having added highly-rated defender Ben White and 21-year-old midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga to their ranks this summer.

“Bissouma, for me, he is the ideal partner in there for Thomas Partey,” Campbell, who made 165 appearances for Arsenal and scored 42 goals in the process, told Highbury Squad.

“He is combative, he is a lot better on the ball than people give him credit for, the kid can play.

“He is young, he knows the Premier League, he is tough, he tracks back, he puts the tackles in, he is box-to-box. If you need him to, he can hold.

“That’s my guy.”
