The Premier League leaders are five points clear of reigning champions Manchester City going into the World Cup break.
Cristiano Ronaldo would be a perfect signing for Premier League leaders Arsenal, according to British broadcaster Piers Morgan.
Morgan made this remark after releasing the first clips of his explosive interview with Ronaldo on TalkTV, where the forward revealed his unhappiness with Manchester United and manager Erik ten Hag.
“Gabriel Jesus needs a scoring partner next to him, and Jesus’ heat map is so outrageous,” Morgan told talkSPORT on Monday morning.
“He [Jesus] covers so much ground, actually what we [Arsenal] need is a fox in the box, a world-class player with bags of experience, who has won everything, and to help us get over the line.
“I can think of somebody – Cristiano Ronaldo!
“I would take him for six months in a heartbeat. This idea that Ronaldo can’t suddenly play football, I’m sorry, it’s laughable.”
Arsenal return to action on December 26 for a home match against West Ham in the Premier League.
The Gunners have not won the English league title since Ronaldo’s first season at United in 2003/04, which was also when the London club went through the entire campaign unbeaten under Arsene Wenger.
