The Gunners boss is leading the club in ‘the right direction’ and has the qualities of a ‘top manager’ already.

Emile Smith Rowe believes Mikel Arteta’s experience, vision, and tactics make him stand out as a ‘top manager’ at Arsenal.

It’s been a bumpy ride for Arteta in his first full campaign as a manager. The Arsenal boss has had his moments, but has struggled to lead his side on a consistent run of form in both domestic and in European competitions.

But Smith Rowe, who has become a key figure in Arteta’s plans this season, is convinced the 38-year-old can transform Arsenal into a force to be reckoned with in the future.

“We’re definitely going in the right direction. With the team we’ve got, I feel like we’re destined for great things,” the Gunners midfielder told the Daily Mail.

“Honestly, I don’t think people realise how good Bukayo Saka is, for example. He’s one of the best players I’ve ever played with.

“The manager’s tactics are amazing, too. It’s the little details.

“He’ll tell us how certain moments will go down, how the opposition will react to certain movements we make, and it’ll happen, exactly as he said it.

“When you see little things like that work, it makes you realise how experienced he is, and how much of a top manager he really is.”

Arsenal will visit West Ham on Sunday afternoon for their next Premier League match.
