The Gunners’ highest-paid star hasn’t played one game all season and will be out of a contract by next summer.
Edu revealed Arsenal have held amicable talks with Mesut Ozil regarding his situation and are trying to reach a solution that would suit both parties.
The 32-year-old is out of Arsenal’s Premier League and Europa League squads. And with less than a year left on his contract, this snub may effectively end his time as a Gunner.
Although Mikel Arteta recently refused to rule out recalling Ozil in January amid the club’s barren run of form this season.

But Arsenal technical director Edu has hinted the midfielder could leave before his contract expires in June.
“I talked to him, Mikel talked to his agent, I talked to his agent about some possibilities, not fighting, just some things to try and help each other,” said Edu as quoted by the Mirror.
“The way we see his future at the club, the way we see him here. It’s quite clear.
“What makes me feel comfortable, which we treat the situation, man to man, no-one hides anything, and Mikel explained to you guys a lot.”
Rumors have circulated recently claiming Ozil could join Turkish giants Fenerbahce in the January transfer window.
