Mikel Arteta has informed that the Gunners could be involved in outgoing business before the 11pm transfer deadline on Monday.
Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock could complete a switch to Newcastle United on loan until the end of the season.
As The Telegraph reports, Willock is one of the two players Newcastle want to sign on the deadline day along with Leicester City’s Hamza Choudhary.
Arsenal are reportedly willing to let go of the 21-year-old so that he can get more first-team football.
While he has featured 17 times across all competitions so far this season, his game time has reduced in recent weeks due to Emile Smith-Rowe’s rise to prominence and Martin Odegaard’s arrival.
The young Englishman is yet to start in a Premier League game since November and has been named in the starting XI in just three of the Gunners’ last 16 games.
“We have decided [who could leave on loan] and we are working on it,” Mikel Arteta said about possible exits in his pre-match press conference ahead of the match against Wolves.
“You will find out before 11pm. I cannot speak about any individual players. What we want to do, the conversations we’ve had, the various reasons. Let’s see if we can get something done tonight.”
