The Italian manager is not letting himself get distracted by speculation surrounding Los Blancos’ long-term target.

Carlo Ancelotti refuses to be drawn into the Kylian Mbappe transfer talks, saying he “doesn’t care” whether or not the Paris Saint-German star joins Real Madrid before the transfer window closes.

Rumors mills have picked up speed as the summer market approaches its end, with Mbappe strongly linked to Real Madrid more than ever.

The vast majority of the Los Blancos fanbase is of the view that the French forward will wear the famous white shirt, and those overly optimistic among them believe that can still happen this season in spite of Paris Saint-Germain’s reluctance to let of their prized asset this summer.

“I don’t care what happens [in relation to Mbappe] in the next few days,” Ancelotti told reporters, as Marca reports.

“Because my squad is very strong. Our viewpoint is the same, this squad can compete for everything.

“We have a lot of top players, and the squad is full of stars. Titles are won when those stars work for the team.

“The atmosphere is very good in the dressing room, and I think the players are motivated and focused on their job. They aren’t involved in the transfer market and only talk about preparing well for the games.”
