A long-drawn transfer saga has picked up pace in the final few days of the summer market, and the Frenchman’s move looks increasingly likely.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti refuses to be drawn into the Kylian Mbappe transfer saga despite admitting the saga is “of great interest” to the fans.

Real Madrid’s interest in Mbappe goes all the way to his Monaco days, and they finally appear to be on the cusp of securing his services.

Adamant about signing him this summer, Los Blancos have reportedly submitted a second offer worth €180 million after their original, slightly smaller offer was turned down by PSG.

Paris Saint-Germain have even supposedly started searching for a replacement for their Mbappe, with Everton’s Richarlison understood to be a leading candidate.

“It’s a matter for the club and I can’t say more,” responded Ancelotti when asked to comment on Mbappe to Real Madrid rumors, per Marca.

“I know it is of great interest, but I can’t say anything more right now. I’m just focused on this weekend’s match.

“I already have a great squad with great players and I need to try to ensure they can perform to the best of their abilities.

“I’m happy with this squad, but if it improves then that’s better for everyone.”
