The Atletico Madrid striker is among the Red Devils’ targets to bolster their attacking line.
Alvaro Morata has insisted he is happy at Atletico Madrid despite interest from Manchester United.
The Spaniard has emerged as a transfer target for the Red Devils, who hope to bounce back from their nightmarish start to the new Premier League campaign.
However, it seems he is not keen to change clubs again after returning from his two-year loan spell at Juventus.
“I’m honest with my work. I’ve always come here wanting to work, work and work and I can’t do anything else,” he told reporters. “What goes on in the transfer market is not up to me, the only thing I can do is train every day to improve.
“Atletico are one of the best clubs in the world, there is a great team, a great human group and I am happy here. I have to keep working to keep improving.”
During his two-season stint at Juventus, Morata scored 32 goals and provided 21 assists in his 92 appearances for the Bianconeri.
The 29-year-old scored twice for Atletico in their La Liga opener last weekend, with his agent confirming his desire to stay at Wanda Metropolitano after the game.
“He has started very well,” Lopez told El Chiringuito. “At the moment, he is at Atletico and he is very comfortable.
“Alvaro has a contract with Atletico Madrid, he is going to stay here.”
