Just over 24 hours after confirming their decision to sack Lampard, Chelsea could sign a replacement shortly.
Thomas Tuchel is set to replace Frank Lampard as the new Chelsea manager and is traveling to London to complete a deal.
The German has been out of work since Paris Saint-Germain replaced him with Mauricio Pochettino in December. He collected 96 wins in his 127 games in all competitions during his time at Paris, including 11 draws and 20 defeats.

Now barely a month since leaving PSG, Tuchel is on the brink of a return to management. Sky Sports states he will sign an 18-month contract for Chelsea, with an option for a further year included as part of the deal.
Tuchel, who is traveling to London, could be present for Chelsea’s home game against Wolves on Wednesday should he test negative for COVID-19 before entering the UK and the team’s bubble.
The 47-year-old will also be able to hold training sessions for his new club, but he must quarantine at all other times for at least five days. Therefore, it’s unclear whether Chelsea will present him on Tuesday. As things stand, the Blues haven’t arranged for a press conference yet.
