The Gunners are said to be taking interest in the Switzerland international, but they need to act fast before it’s too late.

Borussia Monchengladbach have confirmed they have “a lot of offers” on the table for Denis Zakaria, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal.

Zakaria’s future has been a subject of speculations for quite a while now, with Monchengladbach declaring last month the player “would prefer a transfer this summer”.

Adept at interceptions and clearances on top of being blessed with good dribbling, the defensive midfielder is understood to be ready for a fresh challenge in his career after making a name for himself in his four years in Bundesliga.

The 24-year-old is said to be on Mikel Arteta’s summer shopping list, but Arsenal are not the only ones targeting him as the player is reportedly on the radar of Manchester City and AS Roma.

“Zakaria thinking of taking a new step this summer,” stated the Gladbach sporting director, Eberl, during his pre-match press conference ahead of the club’s DFB-Pokal clash with Kaiserslautern.

“There are a lot of offers, we’ll see what happens over the next few weeks.”

Another player in Adi Hutter’s squad whose future has been up in the air lately is Matthias Ginter, with the World Cup-winning defender rumored to be a target for La Liga giants FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid.

“We also in talks with Ginter,” added Eberl. “We want to keep him. We’ll see if we can do it.”
