During a recent interview, Sergio Aguero finally opened up about Leo Messi’s tough moments when he had to leave FC Barcelona last summer.

Sergio Aguero had a plan when the summer transfer window started but Leo Messi took him completely off guard. You can make sure the two stars were communicating constantly during the entire period when ‘Kun’ was signing for Barcelona. One of Messi’s dreams had always been to play alongside one of his best friends at a club level. They already won the Copa America together but they had big plans.

Everybody was shocked when the news came about Messi not staying in Barcelona. Suddenly, Aguero was left with no plan and practically alone at a new club. He is obviously a professional and is happy to play for Barcelona. But he also wanted to play alongside Messi in order to cross that off his bucket list. Now that he is finally back from his injury, Sergio Aguero can feel comfortable talking to the media about everything that happened.

‘Kun’ offers insight into what Messi went through.

In a recent interview with Diario AS, Sergio Aguero spoke about the entire process both he and Messi went through when Leo left the club: “It was a time of shock for him. He felt terrible. When I found out I couldn’t believe it. That Saturday I went to see him at his house. And, because of my personality, since I saw him pretty down, I tried to make him forget what had happened.

“I could see that he was unable to concentrate and I was trying to distract him. I was telling him about my Esports team. And the things we were doing about it. I arrived with the expectation of playing with Leo and that a good team would be put together, which was what the club tried to do. When they called me I thought: I don’t care what they pay me. I will be happy and I’m going to help the team as much as possible.”
