He can surpass Juventus and France icon Michel Platini as the all-time top goalscorer of the European Championship.
As stated on Wikipedia, the pair are currently tied on nine goals apiece for their respective nations. The Portuguese star will relish taking this one.

After that brilliant comeback against Atletico Madrid last season, Cristiano Ronaldo moved level with Lionel Messi on a record eight Champions League hat-tricks.
Now the gloves are off as the duo prepare to make the landmark their own in the knockout stages.
