The five-time Ballon d’Or winner supplied the goods again to steer Juventus to another victory and reach a prestigious Serie A landmark at the same time.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s brace against Parma made him only the fourth Serie A player ever to score at least 33 goals in a calendar year.

After missing a penalty against Atalanta and the FIFA Best Player award, Ronaldo headed to the Stadio Ennio Tardini on Saturday all fired-up to prove his doubters wrong once again – much to Parma’s dismay.

The hosts had no answer for CR7 as he thumped in a brilliant header to double Juventus’ lead in the 26th-minute. He bagged a second goal just after half-time to take his tally up to 33 goals in only 27 league games in 2020.

Ronaldo’s tally of 33 goals has moved him level with former Juventus forward Omar Sivori for the joint-third highest goal tally in a calendar year in Serie A history.

Sivori clocked 33 goals for Juventus back in 1961 – exactly 59 years ago.

But with a game to spare against Fiorentina on Tuesday coming up, Ronaldo can move clear of Sivori in the goal charts.

Gunnar Nordahl (36 goals in 1950) and Felice Borel (41 goals in 1933) sit above the Portuguese ace in the list.

Dejan Kulusevski and Alvaro Morata were the other goalscorers to help Juventus seal a convincing 4-0 win.
