Premier League clubs are beginning to make their moves in the January transfer window, with two United players tipped for exits.

Sheffield United have approached Manchester United hoping to sign Jesse Lingard and Brandon Williams, according to reports.

The two players have barely featured this season, having made a combined nine appearances between them in all competitions. In fact, Lingard hasn’t featured in the Premier League altogether.

The 28-year-old’s future has been in doubt all season. He is out of favor at Old Trafford, and an exit appears inevitable in either January or at the end of the campaign.

French club OGC Nice and Spanish side Real Sociedad have reportedly held talks with Lingard’s representatives over a loan deal.

But Football Insider claim Premier League side Sheffield United have made the first move in approaching Manchester United over potential deals for Lingard and Williams. The Red Devils, however, haven’t decided on the former’s future.

But while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer debates on Lingard’s future, the manager is set to allow 20-year-old left-back Williams to join Sheffield United.
